The A.I.D Series
(Alone In Darkness)
A visual journal of more than 700 days and the years that preceded.
Born from the echoes of military service and a deep-seated sense of disconnection, this series presents Pareidolia as a survival mechanism.
It is the internal landscape, built to navigate the world.
Through heavy shadows and textures we usually ignore, the work embodies the mind's desperate need to find form in chaos.
This is where survival meets the search for connection;
when the abyss is no longer a place to fear,
but a space to inhabit.
*Pareidolia is a primitive survival mechanism—the mind’s urgent necessity to extract order from chaos. Here, the phenomenon functions as a defensive instinct; a frantic search for presence within the void. It is the bridge between isolation and the silent, distorted companions we project onto the inanimate world to ensure we are never truly alone.
